Fusion units for plastic piping

Since 1990 Brütsch Elektronik has been the partner of Georg Fischer Piping Systems in the development and manufacture of fusion units for jointing PE, PB and PVDF plastic piping systems. This collaboration has given rise to a range of innovative, groundbreaking products, such as the MSA 200/250/300/350 and 400 range of electrofusion devices, the SUVI 400 CNC butt fusion machine, the HWSG-3 home automation fusion device for the Instaflex polybutene drinking water installation system and the IR Plus and WNF Plus devices for welding PVDF plastic piping for water purification applications.

MSA 400

The polyvalent electrofusion machine for PE fittings in the 40V class, the leading machine in its market, was based on a switched power supply, which made it possible to reduce the weight by over 50%. The 11-kg device is the lightest on the market and its effectiveness is unsurpassed.

The MSA 400 is designed for raw installation on building sites and also functions perfectly in tough weather conditions. This is ensured by the waterproof and dustproof construction (IP65), amongst other things. The device consists of a bright dot-matrix LC display, which the operator can access in almost 40 different languages. It is equipped with a barcode reader or scanner and offers full support for complete logging and traceability, particularly necessary for many steps in the construction of gas supply pipelines. The welding protocols are transferred via memory card or by cable onto a PC, where they can be processed further using the operator-friendly PipeWinWeld software developed by Brütsch Elektronik.
